From a very early age Michelle Kama developed a love and passion for dancing. It is this love and passion that fuels Malu Productions. In the past 20 years, Michelle Kama, the 1998 Miss Hawaiian Islands has danced for numerous shows and headliners in Hawaii such as the Hula Hut, Te Vai Ura Nui, Ports of Paradise Show on the Windjammer, Magic of Polynesia, The Yes Show and the Danny Kaleikini show at the Kahala Hilton. Over the years Ms. Kama has gained expertise in a variety of dance styles. She has gained recognition for doing Hula, Tahitian Dancing, Polynesian Dancing, Jazz Dancing, Asian Dancing, 50’s & 60’s style Dancing, and a Las Vegas style Revue. With this knowledge she is able to create shows that range from the very traditional to the very innovative. Ms. Kama brings her years of experience and her passion for dance to the helm of Malu Productions.

Under her leadership Malu Productions has brought spectacular Polynesian Entertainment to Europe, the Middle East, Asia, the mainland U.S. and to Hawaii. Malu Productions continues to be featured on local, national and international television. Ms. Kama is also contracted by Disney to produce their annual Hawaii auditions for Hong Kong Disneyland, Tokyo Disneyland, and Disneyland Florida.

Ms. Kama is the consummate professional. Besides being a professional dancer and businesswoman, Ms. Kama is a former Special Education teacher with the Hawaii State Department of Education and is working on a Ph.D. in Education. Ms. Kama is currently working as a Special Education Mentor with the University of Hawaii, College of Education.

Ms. Kama is dedicated to creating one show at a time and always with an eye to each and every audience member. It is this commitment that guarantees a show that is as perfect as paradise.
